SAN ANTONIO – Anthony Cuba made an impressive pro debut Saturday on the Gervonta Davis-Leo Santa Cruz undercard.

The 17-year-old lightweight from Fontana, California, scored a knockdown in each of the first three rounds of his scheduled four-rounder against Leon Cavalli at Alamodome. Referee Rafael Ramos stopped the action 2:13 into the third round, as soon as Cavalli went down for the third time.

Cavalli (1-2, 1 KO), of Medford, Oregon, lost by knockout in a second straight bout.

Rodarte landed a right to Morales’ body that made him retreat with about a minute to go in the third round. Morales landed three left hands, each of which knocked Rodarte slightly off balance in the second round during the second half of the

Rodarte attacked Morales’ body late in the first round and backed him against the ropes. Morales mostly moved away from Rodarte during that opening round.
