The weights are in for Wednesday's clash between Roy Jones Jr. and IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green. Something interesting caught my eye in the weigh-in results and maybe I didn't notice this in the pre-fight hype. There appears to be a 180-pound catch-weight agreement. Both fighters came in way under the cruiserweight limit of 200-pounds. The catch-weight is certain to give Jones a big advantage in speed, movement. Green weighed 179-180 in his last two outings so the weight will not be that big of a factor for him.
Green is the bigger man and came in at the lighter weight. He was 81.30kgs or 179.2 pounds, while Jones took to the scales at 179.5 or 81.45kgs. They meet at Acer Arena in Sydney before a packed house of Australian fight fans.
