The junior-lightweight contender Eridson Garcia returns to the ring on Saturday at the BiYu Brawl in Houston, Texas.

The 30-year-old Dominican, who hopes to move into world-title contention, has signed to join a recently announced boxing league which is still being finalized by its founders, and he plans to use that as a career springboard.
He said: “I have no idea what they intend to do as it is a new company but I hope it will be something big and I'm going all out and I'm going to do my best.
“I would like to be offered the biggest challenges to fulfil my goals and dreams and to grow together and if they offer me big challenges it gives me more security. I still have a lot of desire to be the world champion in different divisions and more desire than when I started my career.”
It will mark his final outing for his promoter Bobby Harrison, who will continue to manage him.
In Garcia’s past fight in July, he defeated William Foster III by decision.
“It's been a long time since my last fight and I'm really looking forward to getting back in the ring so I can do what I love,” said Garcia, ranked 14th by the WBA.
“The night is about doing my job, doing what I love. It's time to shine.
“I don't know much about my opponent, I've only seen a few videos of him fighting, he's a good fighter but I'm better and I'm faster. My preparation has been good and I've been focused on working out how each fight gives the best of me.”
