MGM Grand Las Vegas, NV- Shortly after Manny Pacquiao's shocking knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez, trainer Freddie Roach said that he thinks the former 8 division champion should continue with his career.
"I don't think (he should retire). I don't think this is the end of Manny Pacquiao. I talked to him before he went to the hospital. He knows he made a mistake. He knows he got careless and walked into one," Roach stated.
Roach said that he would welcome a 5th fight with Marquez but also said it may be better for him to take an easier fight first.
"If Manny comes to the gym and trains hard sure I would welcome another fight but it might be better to take a softer touch first," Roach explained.
Both fighters suffered significant injuries in the sure fire "Fight of the Year" candidate. Pacquiao suffered a concussion and went to the hospital for a CAT Scan while Marquez also suffered a concussion in addition to a broken nose.
