The final fight in the career of former light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev will be shown on Boxing News, for free, via their YouTube channel and Facebook page.

Kovalev fights German-based Kazakh Artur Mann on Friday (April 18), in Chelyabinsk, Russia, and the event starts at 1230 ET, with main event ringwalks expected at 1630 ET.

Kovalev, via a press release, said: “I am looking forward to having the final fight of my career here in my home of Chelyabinsk. People are excited because it has been a long time since I have been in the ring. Artur Mann is a strong opponent for me to face, so I am also excited to put on a show for those who have supported me in my career. I have been fortunate to travel and make many fans from around the world, so for my supporters in the United States and United Kingdom, it pleases me that they will see my final fight for free on the Boxing News YouTube channel.”

Last year, Kovalev – who has struggled with inactivity – lost a 10-round decision to Robin Sirwan Safar. Now campaigning at cruiserweight, the former champion has fought the likes of Andre Ward, Canelo Alvarez, Anthony Yarde, Eleider Alvarez, Bernard Hopkins, and Jean Pascal.

The 42-year-old has 35 victories against five losses and a draw.

Mann is 22-4 (13 KOs).
