Marcus Morrison has now lost three of his last five..
The Hattersley middleweight, a former WBC Silver International champion, was in action in Lancashire on Saturday night.
Morrison is trained by Joe Gallagher and laboured before being outworked at Middleton Arena.
He faced Alistair Warren on the Kieran Farrell-promoted card over eight stanzas.
And though he was flashy in parts, the 25-year-old, nicknamed ‘Sweet MNM’, was on the wrong end of a 75-77 scorecard, according to the referee Steve Gray, whose tally was read out by debutant master of ceremonies Robert Blundell.
Also on the card, Connor Lynch outpointed previously undefeated Michael Williams by 39 points to 38 on referee Mark Lyson’s scorecard.
And there was a debut win for Kildare Ward, the massive ticket seller, who outpointed Youssef Al Hamidi by 40 points to 36.
But midway through the fourth fight on the show that was meant to be headlined by Darryll Sharp’s vacant Central Area super-middleweight title clash against Harry Matthews and Stacey Copeland’s latest appearance, a major incident forced the show to be terminated with immediate effect.
Promoter Kieran Farrell was visibly moved by the actions of some mindless individuals and apologised to the spectators before proceedings concluded.
