Joe Joyce is out of his scheduled fight against Patrick Korte this Saturday, March 1.

Joyce, 16-3 (15 KOs), was scheduled to face Korte, 22-4-1 (18 KOs), in Bournemouth, England, on the undercard of Ryan Garner’s European title fight against Salvador Jimenez. He was then expected to jump into a huge domestic clash against Dillian Whyte on April 15.

Earlier this month Joyce said that he would be going ahead with the scheduled bout in Bournemouth, despite signing to fight Whyte, but that plan now looks to have changed.

A source at Queensberry Promotions, the organizer of both Joyce bouts, has confirmed to BoxingScene that the 39-year-old will no longer be competing on Saturday.

No reason has been given but the source also stated that the Whyte fight “shouldn’t be affected.”
