Jermell Charlo has a message for Bob Arum, Oscar De La Hoya, Eddie Hearn and any other promoter that wants to sign him.

According to Jermell Charlo, if he and his twin brother, Jermall, decide to accept one of the promotional contracts they’ve been offered recently, it’ll be with the same promoter.

Jermell Charlo confirmed to BoxingScene.com during an open workout last week in Century City, California, that Arum’s Top Rank Inc., De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions and Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing USA each has offered him a promotional deal.

Jermell Charlo didn’t confirm which promoters offered contracts to Jermall Charlo, but Hearn has expressed interest in signing the 28-year-old twins since announcing his eight-year, potentially 10-figure streaming deal with Perform Group last month. Regardless, Jermell Charlo has no intention of heading in a different direction than his brother.

“No, never, because let me tell you, when I first turned pro, I turned pro in ’07,” Jermell Charlo said. “I turned pro without my brother, and I’m not gonna lie to you, I lived with that for a long time. You know, they didn’t never sign my brother. So at the end of the day, it built a lot of animosity towards each other. It built a separation and a difference. Right now, we are the closest that we could be, and only thing I gotta do is try to make me a family or some sh*t, because my brother got a beautiful family and I be gettin’ jealous sometimes. That’s tight. You know what I’m saying?

“But other than that, I’m excited about sticking together. Separating and trying to sign with somebody else and then somebody else sign, you know, like I said, they didn’t do that at the beginning. And I’m glad that we learned from that. We didn’t even have the same managers at the beginning. So, you know, now we’re at where we at in our life, I definitely don’t wanna separate from my brother in boxing. You know what I’m saying? We’re going to the top together.”

Jermell Charlo (30-0, 15 KOs) is scheduled to defend his WBC super welterweight title against Austin Trout (31-4, 17 KOs) on Saturday night at Staples Center in Los Angeles (Showtime; 10 p.m. ET/PT). Jermall Charlo (27-0, 21 KOs) owns the WBC’s interim middleweight title and is the Mexico City-based sanctioning organization’s mandatory challenger for its 160-pound champion, Gennady Golovkin (38-0-1, 34 KOs).

Jermell Charlo is intrigued by the seven-figure deals he has been offered by Arum, De La Hoya and Hearn, yet has another idea.

“Yeah, I’ve seen multi-millions of dollars now,” Jermell Charlo said. “I’m like, ‘Whoa!’ That’s gonna have to make somebody else work harder if they really know what it is. Shout out to everybody that’s been throwing out these numbers. They keep saying two [offers], but it’s actually been three. And before that last, third one that people don’t really know about, that was the first one that came. So I’m super-excited about it. Golden Boy has made offers, Top Rank has made offers, Eddie Hearn has made offers. They’ve been nice offers.

“But right now, I actually had something in my mind that I think I wanted to do. I wanted to get with a strong individual behind boxing and create this own Lions Only Promotions, and see if they can buy into that first. And make us get some fighters around here that’s gonna rep this Lions Only and that’s gonna train hard. Like, not to criticize Mayweather or anybody, but he built a team, but they was all losing and getting they ass torn up. And that wasn’t looking good for Mayweather. We wanna see if we can kinda like put something together where we can get some real animals in here with us. You know, and do this not just me and my brother, but do this alongside of some other killers.”
