Culiacán, Sin - Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. was the subject of a party to celebrate his 49th birthday on Tuesday night, where his family and friends gathered at a hall in the capital of Sinaloa. A mariachi band dedicated "Las Mañanitas", a detail that began to touch the great Mexican champion.

It was special for him to see his mother, Isabel, and his sons, Julio Cesar Jr., Omar and Chris. Chavez was accompanied by the Governor of Sinaloa, Mario López Valdez, President of the World Boxing Council, Jose Sulaiman, the President of Zanfer, Fernando Beltran, and the only Mexican fighter to capture titles in four weight divisions, Jorge "Travieso" Arce.

Sulaiman gave Chavez a special belt for being a world champion in boxing and in life, and not only praised the achievements that he made in the ring, but also with his life and his family.

Promoter Fernando Beltran referred to some stories that he had to share with "JC", who he said is a great human being, a dear friend and a man who has managed to break down barriers to get ahead.

"He was world champion. He is an immortal, a legend, a son, a father and as a human being he is even better. May God be with us for many years so you can see the consolidation of their children and enjoys the affection of many people who are here and thousands across the country," Beltran said.

Julio Cesar Chavez, who on Tuesday turned 49 years old, could not help shedding a few tears of emotion at the affection of the special guests.
