Veteran trainer Abel Sanchez, who heads the corner of IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin, has had a strong reaction to Saul "Canelo" Alvarez testing positive for clenbuterol ahead of their May 5th rematch at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

More so than Canelo, Sanchez is upset with the Mexican superstar's handlers - because of their background and association with the meat industry. Canelo and his team are blaming contaminated meat as the cause of his test results.

At the Summit Gym in Big Bear, Sanchez told BoxingScene.com - "Very disappointed.. not so much disappointed in him but in his group. Like I'm in construction, the family of 'Chepo' (the Reynoso family) and 'Chepo' himself are butchers. They're meat market owners so that they would allow this to happen is beyond belief."

Golovkin's outspoken trainer believes that 'Canelo' should be subject to more stringent drug testing in light of the recent findings.

Regardless, the microscope is now on him.

"Absolutely, he's going to be under more scrutiny and it's a benefit to us because of the distraction. These people are with you until you do what you have to do, the testers," explained Sanchez. "So if they're with him more consistently than they would have been if he hadn't tested (positive), then it's going to be bothering him, it's going to be something that's bothersome to him. Not only for training but the sleep, but to do all the things he's got to do.

"But I do believe there should be an investigation of some sort and I do believe he should be tested more often."

For the time being for Sanchez and 'GGG' it's business as usual till they are told otherwise. The trainer says his man wants to fight - "but not so much for the  money, he wants to clear up something in his mind and in the people's mind that he won the last fight and that he's going to win this fight more convincingly."
