Former three division champion Marco Antonio Barrera is only a few days away from his Manchester clash with Olympic silver medal winner Amir Khan. Barrera says that he put an end to the career of UK legend Naseem Hamed in 2001. He plans to do the same to Khan.
Regardless of the age difference, Barrera doesn't think Khan, 22, has enough experience to win.
"By the time I was Khan's age I had made six defenses of my world title and beaten some great fighters. But all I hear about Khan is that he is still a young kid even if he is 22," Barrera told The Mirror.
Barrera, an big underdog at the time, dominated Hamed for twelve rounds. He says the Khan fight will be much easier.
"I heard all the same talk about Hamed when I beat him and taking care of Khan will be even easier." Barrera said.
