Principality Stadium, Cardiff, Wales - Former world champion Anthony Crolla (33-6-3, 13 KOs) had few issues in winning a one-sided dominating ten round unanimous decision over Edson Ramirez (18-3-1, 8 KOs).

The judges scored it 100-91, 100-90 and 98-92.

The contest was a part of the undercard to the heavyweight unification between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker.

Crolla is coming off a big win from last October, when he won a twelve round unanimous decision over Ricky Burns - which helped him recover his steps after losing back to back fights, and is WBA world title, to Jorge Linares.

Prior to his pair of defeats to Linares, Crolla had a fantastic streak that began in 2012 after suffering back to back losses and many felt his career was on the brink.

He managed to get himself back in contention with wins over Gavin Rees, Kieran Farrell, John Murry, Gamaliel Diaz, Darleys Perez and Ismael Barroso.

Ramirez had never faced anyone close to the level of Crolla and this was his first fight outside of Mexico. He's been undefeated since suffering a pair of defeats at the start of his career in 2012.

Crolla took control of the action in the early going and he was outboxing Ramirez, who was game. There was a clash of heads early on that opened up a cut around the right eye of Crolla. The cut bothered him, but not enough so to change the tide of the contest.

Crolla went back to work and the cut was under control for the most part, until it began to start streaming blood down his face in the seventh and from that point it was flowing on and off throughout the remainder of the contest. Crolla was just too accurate, too good and too experienced for Ramirez.

Crolla is now in line for a potential showdown with Olympic gold medal winner Luke Campbell.
