Monica Bradley, wife and manager of former two-division champion Tim Bradley, has decided to expand her stable.
First up to turn pro is Edgar Martinez who will make his debut on the Andy Vences-Angel Hernandez Top Rank promoted undercard that takes place on Friday in Lemoore, Calif. UniMas will televise the Vendes fight along with Danny Valdivia's 8 round bout against Douglas Ataide.
While his wife handles the business aspect of managing a fighter, Tim has taken the soon to be 21-year-old under his wing and has given him pointers in the gym.
He is very confident that Martinez, who will be fighting in the super lightweight division, will have a very successful pro career.
"For one, he is a extremely hard worker. Two, he doesn't have a lot of amateur experience so he is developing and learning on the job," said Bradley.
"Having that amateur pedigree is good to a point where you have seen different styles and no how to react. He has myself and his trainer to help guide him and put the right skills in him that he is going to need for his pro debut. He has great footwork. Great accuracy. When he puts his punches together he is a nightmare."
Monica's other new fighter, Dominic Serna, will make his pro debut in April 28th in Studio City, Calif. on another Top Rank promoted card that will be headlined by Casey Ramos versus Miguel Beltran.
