As reported on Friday, WBC female super featherweight champ Frida Wallberg suffered an upset TKO loss to LA-based Australian Diana Prazak tonight in the headliner of Golden Ring´s show in Stockholm, Sweden.

Aftonbladet.se writes that Wallberg is suffering from what they call cerebral hemorrage and she underwent surgery at a hospital in Stockholm. Corren.se reports that Wallberg is in a medically induced coma with a respirator helping her breathe. She may be allowed to wake up later today.

The picture below shows Wallberg in bad shape, opponent Diana Prazak, and Pazak's trainer and chief cornerman Lucia Rijker - but no doctor.

In the fight - Wallberg (11-2) was ahead on points after five but appeared to fading and Prazak (12-2) just kept coming and got through with a sweeping right hand in the seventh that buckled Wallberg´s knees - and she never seemed to recover. She looked a bit out of it in the corner but came out for the eight but was floored by a short hard left hook during an exchange from the challenger. Wallberg was hurt but was allowed to continue and was then floored again by a short right hook and referee Bela Florian waved it off.

Wallberg got to her feet and staggered to her corner out of this world into the arms of the ringside physician who seemed to think she was okay but Lucia Rijker, who headed Prazak´s corner, knew differently and called for the doctor to return and Wallberg left the ring on a stretcher and was taken to hospital.
