Copenhagen, Denmark - Super middleweight veteran Derrick "Superman" Findley, 26-21-1, was no Superman in the headliner of this show against Daniel Heinze, now 6-1, but he showed what experience and knowledge of how to fight - and what that means in professional boxing as he pounded out a ten round unanimous decision over the brave but too green Dane.

It was scored 96-93 twice and 95-94 Findley, who was off to a good start and even scored a flash knockdown in the first.

Heinze took a long time to get going but midway through the fight it was back and forth and in the final round the two battled it out with Heinze getting the better of the exchanges - but it was too little too late.

Light heavyweight Jeppe Morell, 7-0, took a big step up in class as he outscored the tough German-based Bernard Donfack, 23-15-3, over eight on scores of 79-72, 78-73 and 80-71. Morell, a southpaw, is a big lightheavy while Donfack sometimes fights at supermiddle and the size difference played a part in Morell´s win. The Dane was also just as fast as Donfack and fought a very good fight blocking Donfight´s big hooks while keeping the pressure up. In the fifth Donfack floored Morell with a punch after break was called but was later in the round floored himself by a series of southpaw lefts. Donfack beat Oscar Ahlin in his last visit to Denmark and is a dangerous counterpuncher with tons of experience so it was a big win for Morell.

Big heavyweight Pierre Madsen, 6-0, stopped an even bigger heavyweight in Jasmin Hasic, 5-3, in the second of a scheduled six rounder. Hasic was a very late sub for David Vyletel and looked overweight but came to fight. Madsen, trained by Sherman Williams, was under some pressure early in the second but floored Hasic with right-left hook combination. The Bosnian got up was soon floored again and the towel came in. The official time was 2.08.

Sarah Mahfoud, "the Dancing Queen", made her pro debut and stopped a very inept opponent in Petra Podraska, 0-4, 29 seconds into the first round. In that Podraska was floored once and finally turned her back to Mahfoud and it was stopped.

Mahfoud got her name after winning the Let´s Dance contest on Danish national TV and her debut is a big story in Danish media.

As for Podraska - this was her fourth fight and someone should say no more now.

The eighth edition - and the first for 2017 - edition of Danish Fight Night went ahead tonight at the Frederiksberghall in Copenhagen on an off TV show available only through pay per view on internet or by attending the show live.

Lightheavy Jonas "Tiger" Madsen, 8-0, knocked out Croatian Ivan Jukic, 29-9, with a right to the body 2.08 into the third. Madsen dominated the action with a steady body attack with Jukic, a southpaw, covering up against the ropes. Madsen only had eight amateur fights but it´s hard to believe when you see him.

Cruiserweight Ditlev Rossing, 3-0, outscored Slovakian Milan Cechvala, 1-1, over four. Cechvala proved to be green but was durable and tough. He two points deducted for losing his mouthpiece. Rossing threw bombs and lots of them but most were blocked or missed. It was scored 40-34 and 40-33 twice.

Super lightweight Enock Poulsen, 3-0, opened the show and won over Spaniard Francisco Suarez, 2-4-1, who didn´t come out for the fourth and final round. Suarez was down in the second, cut in the third and overall in a losing fight, knew it and retired.

News: Big heavyweigh Aleksander Dimitrenko was knocked out by Joseph Parker last time out but is now lined up to fight Adrian Granat March 18 in Malmoe (Sweden). Dimitrenko tunes up on Wednesday at home in Hamburg with a fight against Milos Doveden - a very soft touch where nothing can go wrong. The fight headlines a four fight bill at the EC Boxing Gym.

Promoter, manager and agent Enrique Soria, Jr, from Spain was the main agent for the show and told me he worked 127 shows last year including the 30 that he promoted.

Michael Marley, Mogens Palle´s American agent and veteran journalist, PR man attorney and you name it, was ringside - in directly from a wedding in India.
