A potential fight between Tommy Fury and KSI is inching closer after both sides were able to reach an agreement on the weight.
The two rivals have been in discussions for several months to fight, but last week controversy erupted when KSI accused Fury of changing the fight weight.
They initially agreed on a max weight of 180-pounds, but then Fury stated that he wasn't going to fight without a max weight of 185.
Fury threatened to walk away and instead move forward with a potential rematch against Jake Paul.
Paul, provided he defeats Nate Diaz in August, is interested in avenging his February loss by facing Fury in October.
"Just a few things to clear up; KSI's only just agreed to do drug testing for this fight. Took his time with that one. And now he's complaining about the weight. This fight's at 185, take-it-or-leave it," Fury stated.
"I know you're a midget and you're worrying about the weight but get some more food down you and you'll get there. If you just don't want to fight, I know somebody who will fight in October, somebody who is ready to fight and will get to 185. Jake Paul, if you want to run it back, let's do it, fine by me. I'll knock you spark out this time. So let me know boys."
Promoter Kalle Sauerland, who works with KSI on his Misfits Boxing events, indicated that both men had agreed on the weight 0but there was no indication on what the weight would be.
"CONFIRMED: weights agreed today for KSI vs. Tommy Fury…. very close now," Sauerland stated on social media.
The undefeated Fury handed Paul, a Youtube star who turned to boxing, his first career defeat. Fury was able to outbox him over eight rounds. He's confident of repeating the same outcome with KSI, another social media celeb who turned to boxing.
