Welterweight Emiliano Moreno continued his ascent up the rankings Saturday night, stopping Erick Bone in the sixth round of the ProBox TV co-feature at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio.

Moreno, 20, of Long Beach, California, started quicker than he has in the past, though his approach even in the first round was tactical as he felt out Bone, a 37-year-old from Portoviejo, Ecuador, who pushed forward. That changed at the end of the round when Moreno landed a left hook that rocked Bone. The two traded wild exchanges until the bell sounded.

Both wore damage in the second round as Moreno’s face showed bruising and Bone had blood flowing from his nose. After a back-and-forth third, Moreno once again rocked Bone with a body shot, who fought back, catching Moreno with a left hook before the round concluded.

Moreno began to walk down Bone in the fourth, targeting his body relentlessly. Moreno continued to mount an onslaught fueled by youthful energy, as blood and bruising were noticeable on Bone’s face. The bout was called off before the start of the seventh round. The time of the stoppage was 3 minutes.

Moreno improved to 12-0 (7 KOs) in his second fight of 2025, after stopping Cesar Francis in February. That bout has since been changed to a no-contest due to the controversial referee stoppage that halted it. Bone fell to 29-8 (15 KOs), ending his two-fight win streak.

Middleweight Weljon Mindoro, of Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines, made short work of previously unbeaten Omar Munguia of Guadalajara, Mexico, with a first-round knockout. The time of stoppage was 1 minute, 28 seconds. Mindoro, 25, landed a short uppercut that floored the 27-year-old Munguia, prompting the stoppage.

Mindoro has now won all of his fights by knockout, improving to 14-0 (14 KOs). Munguia suffered his first defeat, falling to 8-1-1 (6 KOs).

Welterweight Ruben Eduardo Aguilar, of Ensenada, Mexico, knocked out Issouf Kinda, of The Bronx, New York, in the first round. The time of the stoppage was 2 minutes, 55 seconds.

Aguilar, 24, landed a counter right hand that sent Kinda to the canvas, but he was able to continue. Aguilar landed a left hook to the body that sent the 37-year-old Kinda down for good at the end of the round.

Aguilar is now 23-0-1 (20 KOs), while Kinda fell to 20-8 (9 KOs).

Welterweight Emilio Garcia, of Laredo, Texas, knocked out Pedro Pinillo of Cali, Colombia, in the second round. The time of stoppage was 1 minute, 40 seconds

Garcia, 22, dropped Pinillo with a straight right hand to the body in Round 1. A series of hooks to the body from Garcia sent the 24-year-old Pinillo down to conclude the fight.

Garcia is now 2-0 (2 KO), and Pinillo is 6-11 (5 KOs).

In the opening bout, junior featherweight Figo Ramirez Gonzalez, of Dallas, fought to a majority draw against Luis Alvarado Morales, of Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. Scores for the bout were 58-56 (Ramirez), 58-56 (Alvarado) and 57-57.

Ramirez, 22, is now 9-0-1 (4 KOs), while the 23-year-old Morales took the second draw of his career to move to 9-4-2 (1 KO).
