In the second injury related withdrawal of the show, former lightweight champion Joel Casamayor has cited a sprained lower back and withdrew from his upcoming bout with Julio Diaz, scheduled to take place on the undercard to Golden Boy's pay-per-view "Lightweight Lightning" on April 4 in Austin Texas. About two weeks ago, Jorge Barrios withdrew from his bout with Carlos Hernandez and was replaced by Vicente Escobedo.

Casamayor's manager, Luis DeCubas Jr, told Dan Rafael that his fighter will not move forward with the Diaz fight. No replacement has been named as of yet.

"He's not going to be able to fight," DeCubas Jr. said. "He has a lumbar spine sprain. He's laid off sparring for a while. His back is real tight. He hasn't sparred for about a week and a half. Joel was right on track, but sometimes your body just says no. He should be fine but the doctor said there was no way he could fight April 4."

Still on the show, Edwin Valero faces Antonio Pitalua for the WBC lightweight title and Michael Katsidis will clash with Jesus Chavez.
