On Saturday night, WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez defends his titles against Juan Diaz in a rematch of their 2009 "fight of the year" battle. Marquez was ripped and ready to go at 133.5-pounds. Diaz came in at the division limit at 135-pounds. Both return from defeats. Marquez lost by decision, in a welterweight contest, to Floyd Mayweather Jr. last September and Diaz lost a decision to Paulie Malignaggi.
In a crossroads battle of former champions, Rocky Juarez came in at 132-pounds, and Jorge Linares was a half pound over at 132.5-pounds.
Another battle of former champions saw Joel Casamayor get on the scale and weigh-in at 138.5-pounds, while Robert Guerrero, who is making his junior welterweight debut, was two pounds under at 138.
In a battle for the vacant WBO middleweight title, two unbeaten fighters collide. Dmitry Pirog of Russia will make his American debut and came in at 160-pounds, while Daniel Jacobs of Brooklyn, New York was a pound under at 159.
