There is a lot of talk and chatter about ref selection, fair judging, backyard fighting, the works. You won't hear any excuses from Team Beltran if things don't go our way. We came to fight, we came to win.

TEAM BELTRAN:  FIVE MYTHS TO DISMISS

MYTH:  When traveling to fight in a foreign country you're always going to be the outsider. That alone can throw off a fighter. Coming to Scotland is an automatic handicap.

Not training is a handicap. We trained for eight weeks with the toughest sparring Ray's ever had. We've been in Glasgow for two weeks. Unheard of for foreign camps. From the moment we landed we've been treated like royalty. The people of Glasgow have made us feel like we are home and Eddie Hearn and John Wischhusen along with all of their team have been stellar. Ricky Burns' manager allowed us anytime access to his gym and his own family catered to our needs.

Along with our own sparring we had local sparring as well for the final week. Fighters, UK fighters, all lend a hand. It's a sport folks.

MYTH: Often the judging is one sided and will favor the champion.

We have total confidence in the judging, the men selected are top notch. Ray's job is to make sure it's not close. If its close then we didn't do our job.  We need every round. Three minutes at a time, and every round. If Ray gives the judges something to chew on he we will be fine. This is going to be a barn burner and the winners will be the fans.

MYTH: The third man in the ring will usually lean towards the home town kid who is with the home town promoter.

Phil Edwards is a straight shooter, professional and I felt very confident after meeting him. All good to go. His job is to protect the fighters and to keep the ball rolling. Phil will do that.

MYTH:  You can't get a fair shake in the UK.

On a bad night you can't get a fair shake in Vegas either. I think the fans over here are all about a great fight. If Ray delivers a commanding performance he will win the fight. Here, Vegas, or Victorville, kick the other guys ass you increase your chances of winning by 51%. If you don't, you decrease your chances by 100%. End of story.

MYTH: This fight is all about getting Burns in position to fight Crawford or Vasquez.

This fight is all about getting Ray Beltran the WBO world title, and anyone who thinks past Saturday night should watch the Lundy, or Kim fight. The Lundy camp thought Ray Beltran was just a tune up fight before Hank was to face Adrien Broner. Big mistake, to think past any fight, especially if the fight is with Ray Beltran. Ricky knows that and his people do to. They are taking Ray very seriously, as well they should. We aren't thinking of Crawford or Vasquez, we are here to fight Ricky Burns.

Mr Burns, meet Mr Beltran. Lets get it on and give the fans a great show with a clear winner so the pundits can take the day off.
