Rocky Fielding announced his return to the ring in emphatic style.

The former WBA ‘regular’ super-middleweight champion got rid of his opponent inside two rounds.

Fielding, who has been out of the ring since last December’s three-round knockout defeat against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez at Madison Square Garden in New York, was in action at the Eventim Olympia in Liverpool.

The ex-English, British, Commonwealth and WBC International champion took on Abdallah Paziwapazi, exclusively live on iFL TV worldwide and ESPN + Stateside, topping MTK Global’s latest North West offering in the Fight Night series.

And the Tanzanian opponent was taken out in great style as Fielding came back following the most crushing defeat of his career with a point to prove.

He was on the front foot from the off, winning the opener with relative ease, before a barrage of shots, finished by a sickening left hook, ended the fight in convincing fashion in the second round, leaving Paziwapazi unable to beat referee Steve Gray’s count after rising from the canvas.

Fielding will be hoping to build on a great end to 2019 in the New Year by becoming more active and getting back into the upper echelons of the super-middleweight division.
