  • What happened to Scott Steiner's chest???

Over the years, his chest has gradually separated more, and more. He now tries to cover it up with tattoos, chains, etc.

I've noticed this in a few other wrestlers as well? Chris Jericho has it. Some wrestler named "Kofi" has it.

Stephanie McMahon even had a little "Steinerism" going on, but hers seemed to have gone away.

Even Terry Crews has a little bit of separation going on. Although that could just be genetics, and his striations making it seem like it's worse than it is.

But I've heard so many theories - from steroid use, to nerve damage from getting hit/struck, muscle tears from lifting heavy...

I can't do deep dips anymore, because when I go all the way down, I get this extreme pain like literally right in the middle of my chest.

But I don't think steroids causes it, or lifting weights, because it's very rarely seen in bodybuilders. You'd think it'd be more common in bodybuilders who use steroids, and lift heavily year-round who would suffer from it the most?

I think most likely it is caused from nerve damage due to repeated pressure, strikes, etc. on the chest (LOL think Ric Flair chest slaps for decades!) and subsequent surgeries, etc.

          "Muscle atrophy"

Disuse of the muscles, such as when muscle tissue is immobilized for even a few days of unuse – when the patient has a primary injury such as an immobilized broken bone (set in a cast or immobilized in traction), for example – will also lead rapidly to disuse atrophy. Minimizing such occurrences as soon as possible is a primary mission of occupational and physical therapists employed within hospitals working in co-ordination with orthopedic surgeons.'

this could be it.... I know that steiner, kofi kingston, jericho and undertaker have all been hurt and out bed ridden for months before

Ah, I know man. His genetics were friggen insane - second to none.

Not to mention he was naturally skilled as a collegiate wrestler, and that transferred over for him very well.

                Just a specimen
