Soccer has become the 4th most popular sport in America surpassing Hockey. The MLS ratings are increasing and the MLS is expanding with more teams opening in New markets the next few years.

Football is King in America. Basketball and Baseball are next.

Soccer popularity in America is growing rapidly and has all the best key demographics and has the Hispanic market dominated. Soccer could very well surpass Basketball and Baseball in the near future in America. The LA Galaxy, Houston Dynamo and Seattle Sounders TV ratings and ticket sales in those local markets have been great.

Yes. That's definitely why. The Hispanic population of America is now 22% and that's not counting the ones coming in from the border right now. It's definitely the changing the landscape of American sports.

Soccer TV ratings and ticket sales in America have FAR surpassed Hockey now. Messi and teams in markets like LA, Houston, Seattle, Chicago and New York City Soccer teams are all having huge interest.

Good for them. I could never get into it, except when the women were winning world cups. Too confusing for me, with the clock counting forward instead of down, so I never know exactly how much time is left. Also, not enough shots on goal, like in hockey. Kinda lost interest in hockey though too.
