I am interested in knowing facts on how they trained? i know that they was trained by the same trainer and had very similar training routines. Running in the mountains of mexico and i know that chavez would spar alot and would do 5 minute rounds with 45 seconds rest. But what about floorwork? conditioning exercises? as much info on there training as possible?

Good question! I tried to find videos on youtube, but I couldn't. . . Maybe I didn't look enough, though. .

SInce they both come from the two basic Mexican boxing schools - Chavez Sr. was the come forward, inside/brawler but with excellent technique on the inside. . ANd Salvador Sanchez was the classical boxer/puncher. . .

THey are both old school - so I'd say just your basic boxing exercises - lots of road work, skipping rope, heavybag, speed bag, lot of ab strengthening workouts. . . Lot of shadow boxing and sparring. . . They probably had their own "unique" exercises as well, but they are probably just some twist, or variation of the aforementioned.

I read in a Mexican paper once that JCC sparred a lot...and I mean A LOT.

It was basically learn from doing philosophy. Of course the key to most Mexican schools of boxing is conditioning, that is rule #1. They pride themselves in being in excellent shape.
