Sweating will just help you lose water weight, something you'll gain back pretty quickly.

Sweating in sauna suits is ok if you're losing pounds quickly for a weigh in, but if you want to lose it with a "good diet", avoid wanting to sweat so much.. the amount you sweat from what you workout is healthy enough.. you'll get dehydrated otherwise.

I sometimes put on a hoody to sweat quicker, but not to lose huge amounts of sweat.

KY Jelly. Try to get the kind that warms up, that should help you sweat more.

I agree with Samir...its just water weight you will lose that you'll just put back on in a day with fluids. But I have jars of albolene that I used and it works very well, imo. I never tries Sweet Sweat. Albolene seems to liquify on contact with skin, so it doesnt take much to get a great lather going.

When I am cutting weight, I do this like two times a week. The night before a fight I push hard.

Abolene is great stuff. I rub it on my entire body, then toss on a shirt and my pants, throw on a trash bag, then my jacket(I wear a jogging/wind suit. Nothing fancy, no need). I will warm up with some shadow boxing to get the sweat going. Then I will do just light work on the heavy bag. After this I do 15 minutes of straight jump rope, and finish off with some work on the speed bag.

Yes, pretty much you are just losing water weight. But that is alot of weight to lose the night before a fight.

If you are an amature(Which majority of people here are), I wouldn't do it the night before a fight. You are going to really drain yourself and it will show in the ring. If anything do it a few nights before your fight, and just watch your intake of fluids and food.

Your diet is also crucial. A good example is something I learned the hard way.

I use to do a very strict diet. I woke up and ate 2 hard boiled eggs in the morning with a can of tuna(Water, not oil). I would not eat again until I got home from the gym. As soon as I got home I ate the same thing(Portion and everything). No juices, no anything other then water. Weight was coming off very slow. After my initial weight loss I hit my threshold where I would lose maybe 1/4-1/2 lb a night, and these were very intense work outs.

I upped what I ate. I still ate the hard boiled eggs and tuna in the morning, but about a hourish before gym time, I would boil some boneless chicken breast and remove all the fat, bought some nasty ass like low low calorie zero fat gravy, and cooked some rice. I cut the chicken up into small pieces and mixed it all together.

I found I had gained a little bit of weight my first night, but after doing my work out I had lost 3 lbs.

That is the diet I have stuck to since then. I also will eat some apples to help with digestion, and a bannana as well when needed to help with cramping.

Before my fight I would be at the scale before anyone else, weigh in quickly, and head off to eat. A good meal of some sphagetti, bread, and water. After this I would drink a pint of OJ to help with extra energy, and then drink a poweraid/gatoraid to restore my electrolites.

Keep in mind cutting weight quickly is a very big shock to your body and drains all of your energy. If you are not a professional fighter(Who have over 24 hours to replenish), I would just let the weight come off naturally with good diet and exercise.

And to answer the questions about Abolene or Vasolene. Vasolene covers and suffocates you (Which is why some people put them on ticks so they cant breath).

Abolene opens your pores allowing you to sweat much easier.
