Anyone know any more detail about Mayweathers routine
Floyd uses weights same with Ricky Hatton.I've seen viideos of Floyd using them and his roadwork is 8 miles not 5,Zab Judah does 10 miles.
The sit ups he does way more than that
I watched a Mayweather Gatti highlights video and it said he spars 15 minute rounds with fresh sparring partners moving in to increase his stamina as well That's intense great ability as an athlete.
I agree with you all the way, thread starter didnt get anything right,Floyd does way more than what thread starter said. His sparring alone goes on for very long,he always asks for 'fresh meat' i.e new sparring partner
I remember looking up the real one a couple years ago, but I can't find it now. The one you just posted is not real. Floyd does much, much, much more than that. He runs something like 8 miles, he does occasionally do weighted exercises, and spars a bazillion 6 minute rounds. I don't remember exact specifics, but I remember enough to know that one and many others are fake. A lot of boxers routines on the internet are made up by people just to see who will believe it (especially a lot of Mike Tyson's routines).
All the top dogs do more than they tell. I mean Clottey is ripped as hell and he said all be basically does is run and spar. lol
if that used to be floyds routine its old as hell. maybe from when he was working with his dad before they split and he started working with roger instead.
eighter way its a pro boxers routine, not suitable for an amateur. floyd has great conditioning, he could literally go 20 rounds without getting tired. but as an amateur u dont even have to go 10, much less 20. so focusing your energy on that would be a waste of time.
u should be in shape dont get me wrong, but not mayweather like shape. spend your time more on skills and speed. instead of running 10 miles or however long it is everyday do intervals and spend the remainder of the time studying fight tapes.

I agree with you ...a lot of people that try pro boxers routines..will just overtrain or hurt themselves. Pro boxers have everything they need to avoid any injury (Coaches, nutrition, equipment). But, go ahead and train like a pro.. I ain't stopping you lol.

And it is also a mistake because pros need different conditioning to an amateur to fight 8, 10, or 12 rounds as opposed to 3.
8 mile runs, 5 minute rounds etc can be effective when you are like Floyd training for 12, but as an amateur training for 3, intervals, sprints and shorter rounds are more beneficial.
workouts from boxings greatest champs volume 2. great book, and this guy actually in the gym with them. i emailed this guy and asked him how long it took him to do the book, and he told me it took him 6 years . check out amazon.co.uk or amazon.com
Have not read these replies, but I see a constant flood of people wondering xxx persons training routine. You guys are failing to realize a key element.
These guys are training for 3 minute, 12 round fights. They are not training for 2 minute 4 rounders, or 3 minute 3 rounders.
In the amatures, you want explosiveness and spurts. In the pro's you want a much more steady pace with flurries here and there.
Secondly, these training regiments are for people who have been fighting damn near their whole life.
25 minutes of speed rope at a steady pace can be detrimental to an amature. A better routine is 5 minutes of sprinting on the rope.
Same thing with running. Rather then running 5+ miles, a good 2 mile run with sprints in the middle of the week will do you much better in an amature fight.
Same thing goes with majority of your workouts, such as the heavy bag. You are better off doing sprints on the bag for 3 rounds then slowly working for 15 rounds.
