  • Which is the best Unfilled Heavy Bag ?

    Hello

I am searching for a Heavy Bag but it should be unfilled. So to save on shipping charges.

I only have a Heavy bag for my workout. I am planning on using it with Ringside IMF Tech Bag Gloves.

What should be used to fill the bag , Sand ? What should be weight of the bag ? 70lbs, 100lbs etc.

Any links to site would be appreciated ?

I was chatting with Ringside rep, and she suggested that I go for Leather HeavyBag for $99 Unfilled, as its long lasting

Would 100Lbs be fine or 150 lbs ?

I am still not allowed to post links.

Are they long lasting since i would be ordering an Unfilled bag and getting it shippped to United Arab Emirates.

So I want to invest in a good bag.

If you fill a heavy bag just with sand its going to weigh 300lbs and will be like punching a cement wall.

You need to use a shredded foam or composite material for the filling and small sandbags for the weight. I would also recommend getting a 2" foam liner to go around the inside of the bag. It'll help prevent settling and will be more comfortable to use.

Honestly, by the time you pay for the unfilled bag, have it shipped to you and then pay for all the materials and your time to fill it up, it would be cheaper just to buy a pre-filled bag from the start.

Although our unfilled leather bag is excellent quality, I've heard horror stories of how miserable it is to properly fill a heavy bag. It's not as simple as just dumping the stuff into it and zipping it up...you gotta make sure the weight bags are distributed evenly, there are no lumps or empty spaces and that it's the right weight you're looking for.

http://store.titleboxing.com/hbl.html - Unfilled Leather Heavy bag ($80 after forum discount) + shipping

I can do an HBV 100 bag for $112 (after discount) and shipping would be around $50

              Thanks for the advice.

The reason I am going for an unfilled bag is due to the shipping weight and the charge.

I want it to be shipped to UAE. And if i buy a filled bag, it would cost me a fortune.
