Heavy Bag Spring

can someone tell me what are the heavy bag springs for?

and should i setup my heavy bag from the ceiling or using a wall hanger

Heavy Bag springs are designed to absorb most of the shock to the hanger/bracing you're using to hang the bag. By reducing the shock it makes the bag more quiet (won't rattle your house as much) and helps reduce the swing.

Wallmount hangers are nice if you're limited on where you can hang a heavy bag traditionally. It all depends on your setup and personal preference.
