I've searched and I can't really find an answer to to what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the best all-around training glove for heavy bag, double end, and pad work. Basically everything excluding sparring. It seems like overall Ringside IMF is best for bag work to protect the hands but a lot of people say they aren't great for pad work. I'm looking for very good protection but still be able to feel what I'm doing and solid speed. Also what size would be best. I'm 5'8" and 145 right now. pretty small hands. I've found a lot of different threads regarding gloves but just looking for the best ones that I can use for just about everything. Still thinking about the Ringsides, Grant, Fighting(not sure about quality of these yet), and Title Gel. Open to more suggestions although Winning is out of my range right now.

if you want the best and your willing to spend some money, Winning is second to none, not even close. could talk about em all day.
I dont own IMF's but ive herd good things about them.
Grants are ok.
Never use Cleto Reys, you will break your hand eventually.
Just remember in boxing gloves you usually get what you pay for. I dought if i will ever buy anything other than Winnings again.

if you have the training, are they resistant enough to use them on the punching bag and will last on the long term??

the pro gloves is what everyone uses.Get them in 16oz they are light enough.
And the IMF tech are good gloves overall. Either those or you could try Triumph united Heatseeker gloves. I wouldnt go with title gel, i have a pair and i dont really use them. I want to try and sell them off here and get something else.

Im telling you getting a pair of Winnings is one of the best investments you can make in boxing.

I don't even bother buying cheap gloves anymore because I wear them out very quicky. I know Grant and Winning are great gloves as well.

I have very wide hands so I think Reyes is taylor made for me and I use them for everything, heavybag, mitts, sparring.....everything. They have lasted me a ton of time and seem to keep their consistency without a problem.

I'm seriously considering Ringside IMF, Rival, and Triumph. IF I use some old 16oz that I have for the heavy bag, which would be best for pad work and double end bag. I don't want to ruin an expensive glove on a heavy bag and it seems like many people have a seperate pair for the heavy bag. What size would be best and would a training glove be better than a bag glove?
