the snap comes from perfecting the technique to your punches, once you've thrown thousands of right hands, you will develop a natural snap for that punch. physiology of the snap is mainly due to the explosiveness in conjunction with proper technique

Oh I see cause I was watching cotto vs mosely and Cottos jabs have really good snap in them. I want my jab to be like that

cotto has a very good left jab because he is a natural southpaw, he jabs with his power hand.

snappin comes naturally pertty much...
its all about timing bro.... just get used 2 using ur left hand snap the jab snap snap snap then bam left hook to the body or upstairs... try that alot with the bag..
play ur left hand (hopfully ur not southpaw)
just watch jmmarquez watch he has he left hand its never stilll it has a nice movement to his stlye

Oh and the thing that flicker said about not tensing my fist until the last second. I tried to do that but its really really hard! I do it wrong and end up punching the heavy bag/ mitts with a loose fist and it hurts like hell

Nobody has mentioned the most important thing to developing 'snap' in your punches.
You should be trying to bring your hand back after you punch just as fast as you sent it out. Alot of times people shoot it out really fast, but then drag it back slowly. This will not only add snap to your punches, but it will increase your defense becuase you won't be exposed for so long.
