  • Best mouthguard?

Hey i was wondering what is the best mouthguard to have? I have one of the everlast brainpad ones that hold the jaw open slightly but i noticed when i get tagged in the chin/jaw i feel it afterwards in a bad way. So im not sure what to do, i know on occasion my chin will float up and i will get tagged that is something i have to work on. Are those types of mouthguards good or do i just need to focus on my defence more?
    this is what i have

I've got a regular brain pad not the everlast ones but they're basically the same and love it. I find it holds my jaw in place better than one that just covers your top teeth. You just have to bite down and keep your jaw clenched, which you should be doing anyways.

I think going with a custom mouthguard is the best bet, but those are expensive. If you can't afford a custom, then get a boil and bite. I use this one:

It's inexpensive, but it's pretty good quality. It's easy to mold and fits well. It stays in place even when my mouth is open.
