even though ive never used them i know they fit a whole lot better then the velcro ones but i have a question. how do you lace up your own gloves if there is no one around to lace them for you. i mean i can figure that i can lace up one side and then the other would be a little wierd, possible, but wierd and not as good. anyone enlighten me on this?

mmm ive laced mine up myself and used them, they were fine offered about as much support as ****ty hook and loop closures. you tie them semi tight, im not talking about a very loose tie, then you have to wrestle to get the second one on. Ive done it, it works you just have to use your imagination.

Oh it can be done, but that defeates the purpose of lace up gloves. You get lace up ones so they can be tied tight to provide a lot of support. If you're just doing them lose and say 'offered about as much support as ****ty hook and loop closures' you might as well just get a ****ty pair of hook and loop gloves and save yourself the trouble. ;-)
I've only used gloves with laces once and I loved them. I still use velcro ones. I only train at a gym and not alone at home, so there would always be someone to tie them, I just don't like all the hassle.

I used to use lace-up gloves when sparring. One guy laces up the other guy. Then lace up the other pair while their off, leaving the right glove kind of loose. Put the left on first. Then put the right on using your teeth to pull it down. Low tech I know, but I did it that way for years.
