Why do boxers get bent noses? what can u do to prevent it?

how do boxers go there noses very bent and messed up ? is it from taking to many punches? or how they take them? Over sparring?
What can u do to prevent this?
I am sorta worried about my nose but i dont get hit there much but i still dont want my nose to get messed up just because of boxing.
Does it matter on what type of nose u have? im mixed race white and black so im not sure what type of nose i got lol a mixture i guess.
Dont want my nose to be messed up like barrys.

Magerito is always getting punched and his nose looks nothing as bad as barry's thats why im asking and im sure to get a headguard that has the bar to protect my nose when i get some money.

My coach trained with Barry mcguigan at his gym.

But, its because you get hit way too much move ya head. And you cant be black and white thats absurd.

But on a real i seen guys get hit alot more then barry and not had his nose thats why i was jus curious about this.

most fighters that have been around have had their noses broken so many times that they just get the cartilage in the nose removed because its so ****ed up and then it cant get broken anymore. hence, the ****ed up looking noses.

Well, when it comes down to it, at least you have an excuse to have a nose bent like **** knows what. Just say you box if people ask why your nose is crooked in the future. This kind of **** comes with the sport though.
