  • Comments Thread For: Yordenis Ugas Eager For WBA Title Clash: I'm Finally Getting Justice!

As BoxingScene.com recently reported, the World Boxing Association ordered Yordenis Ugas and Abel Ramos to fight for the vacant "regular" belt as part of the decisions made at their annual convention. For Ugs (25-4, 12 KO) this is a new opportunity to get his hands on a title after being denied the possibility of winning one in March 2019 after a losing a close twelve round decision against then World Boxing Council (WBC) champion Shawn Porter.

Well it was all wishful thinking by us, the hardcore fans (myself included)
Weeks ago, when I heard about Bes*****' PED issues and I saw Ugas' WBA ranking, I had a feeling that Ugas would go the WBA "regular" belt route unless Bob came in with a monster offer which was VERY unlikely.
It was Brook then, it is definitely Brook now for Bud.

He could still fight Crawford if he truly wanted. Fact is he is willing to take less money to fight for this paper title, after calling Crawford out on social media.

i doubt he'll fight Butaev next, he'll try to sell this belt to some other pbc fighter, he's 34 already and has been dropped, it'll be difficult for him to look good against a big, strong, pressure fighter like Butaev, we'll see if Butaev is getting justice

The WBA may have started this BS but the WBC took it to the next level. WBC title, interim, diamond, and franchise(which can't even be defended or lost!). I love the sport but the sanctioning bodies and promoters are a joke.

WTH i watched butaev bes***** 3 or 4 times. butaev is an average fighter at the very best. there are 20 welterweights better than butaev. and that is probably being nice.

however ramos might not be in that 20, h...ll i hope he's better than ramos.

all 4 of crawford's title defenses at 147 would stop butaev. if they give butaev his check he is getting justice and if he gets another title shot check it would be exceptional generosity.
