so everyone with a high voice is on steroids? LOL
Stunted his growth? hes 5 foot 11, big enough!

    I’m talking 14-15
how on earth does he get access to them at 14-15, putting aside the desire to taker them rather than the other recreational substances more freely available at the time.

This is also why he peaked so early and had half the shelf life that someone like Holyfield did.

Holyfield took roids late. He matured and grew as a man then he took roids.
if everyone is taking them why is it just mike who has short span? LOL

So when he met Tyson who was already over his roid peak but Holyfield was in his roid prime
What on earth is a Roid peak...

      People greatly overplay roids.

Think about Emile Griffith. As a 19 year old working in a steamy hat shop, circa 1958, he asked the boss if he could work shirtless. The boss was amazed at how muscular and chiseled Emile was w.o. working out. Boss took him to Gil Clancy who taught him how to box and the rest is history. And see the great doc, Ring of Fire if you haven't.

Some, like Mike Tyson are natural phenoms this way.

Nope, if he were on roids he would have lost everything once he went off, even years after he retired his neck and body were still muscular

Tyson jokes about having a fake **** for drug testing. I'm sure he was on a bit if everything.

tyson was without a doubt naturally talented. he was built like a grown man in his teens, when ehw as still fresh and fast. hit like a mule. had a great chin. etc.

he also admitted to being ond rugs and pissing with a fake **** to pass drug tests. you can just as easily take steroids as weed and coke if you're pissing someone else's piss. just looking at his physique after prison it's reasonable to suspect him of being on somehting in the mid 90's, lots of people suspected him and others. hell, evander holyfield used to be a cruiserweight!

Mike was scaring grown ass men out of their money as barely a teen. That mofo didn't need roids, anger, muscles, and being bopolar was enough

Not during his prime, no. In other words, not before he went to prison. He was a different fighter back then, less muscular and a lot more bounce in his legs, rhythm, speed.

After prison in the mid-nineties? Yes, he took steroids for sure. You can see from how muscular and bulked up he got with such little body fat. And before anyone says "You can get jacked like that naturally", trust me, if you know what you're looking at, you know. I've taken steroids before myself and in many cases it's very easy to spot.

The funny thing is, it actually made him a worse fighter. He got slower, heavier legged and his stamina noticeably declined. Look at his fights in the mid-to-late eighties, and then go look at his first fight with Holyfield. It's like night and day, a different fighter almost. He comes out for the first round plodding like he's already done 12 rounds. That prison stint really hurt Tyson's career. They say pretty much all he did for exercise in there was lift weights. Before prison I don't think if he even lifted weights at all, at least not while training with Cus D'Amato.

He still had great power of course, but bulking up and adding muscle mass wasn't the cause of that. Tyson's power came from his excellent technique, speed, and the the torque he generated from hip rotation. If anything I would argue the steroids lessened his power because the added muscle mass diminished his speed and thus the velocity on his punches. There's no dis*****g that the Tyson from the mid-to-late eighties was a more dangerous and overall better fighter than Tyson post-prison.

Still, I don't hold anything against him for using steroids. Holyfield was roided to the gills too, so was Bruno. It's not like guys weren't using back then. There are definitely more guys using nowadays, but the testing is also better too so more guys are getting caught (though not nearly enough).

                    No.

And I don't think Mike Tyson is the type of person to really care, and lie about certain things that he has did during his boxing career. If he had taken steroids, I believe he would of mentioned it. During his rematch with Evander Holyfield, it was Mike Tyson who pushed for Olympic styled drug testing because? He was dubious of Evander Holyfield. Their rematch was drug tested more intensely, than the first fight.

Mike Tyson did not even bother with body building style workouts until late in his career, him and Lennox Lewis where probably the last of the old school heavyweights in terms of training philosophies. Evander Holyfield obviously changed the game, with the introduction of working with Lee Haney! 'Possibly the greatest body builder that has ever competed'.
