Pictures have been circulating of Keith Thurman and Terence Crawford standing next to one another and you have people saying, "Look Crawford is as big as Thurman." No! Robert Guerrero, who has sparred fighters from 135 to 160 has says that Thurmam is technically a 154 pounder and the strongest and most powerful fighter he has ever faced. Crawford started off at 135 pounds where as Thurman fought at lightweight when he was in middle School. If you look at bone structure and muscle you can see that Thurman is the bigger man. Why don't people, in boxing, understand that being the same weight doesn't mean you are as big as the same guy who is the same weight?

If you’ve studied anatomy and/or any type of biological science, you know that everyone comes in different body types. Mesomoroph, Ectomorph, and Endomorph.
Based on these generalized body types, you realize that two people can make a weight of let’s say, 147lbs, but have two different levels of strength and physical power/ability.
I walk around at 185lbs. If I was to fight at that weight I wouldn’t last a single round in cruiserweight. But if I boiled down to 154 or even 147lb. I’d compete and probably be stronger than someone coming up from a smaller natural weight.Last edited by Punch on Tap; 02-18-2018, 03:49 AM.
