Chavez never was or ever will be elite, but is however fun to watch. Happy to see him back..the fact that his father was the greatest Mexican fighter of all-time has put him at a disadvantage in terms of garnishing respect. You can't hate on him he could have sat on his ass and lived off his pops name or been in good with the cartel..has he used his dads name a bit?yea..but his brother fights too and hasnt reached what he has..he is not as bad of a fighter as people say he is..

He had a lot of talent. Lets pretend for a second he had the training regimen of a Hopkins or Loma, I believe he could have cracked elite.

Its more disappointment with Junior, seeing him waste it and throw it all away.

Chavez Jr. Is a talented fighter just not elite. He doesn't have the skills or the work ethic to be elite.

Chavez Jr. is the equivalent to John Molina. Which isn't being disrespectful. Both are entertaining and crowd pleasing but will never be considered elite fighters.
