I know this may seem dumb, but I'm a right-hander (with some power in the left) and have always felt the southpaw stance to be more natural. I've been skating, surfing, snowboarding, etc. with my right foot forward ever since I can remember. In skateboarding they call it the "goofy" stance.
Anyways, I know I'm at a disadvantage until I develop more power in the left and become more ambidextrous. I often shift and switch hit without even realizing it, it just comes naturally in the heat of the moment. I'm not sure what it is (probably all the tricky ass shlt I can pull off on my board), but my footwork seems 10x better as southpaw. I can move very fast, effectively, get in and out, circle/strafe, cut the ring, etc.
Need some second opinions from the good knowledgable folk here...
Most people I've asked tell me to go full on orthodox.
What do you guys think?
