An example I can think of is Johnny Nelson who was 3-10 as an amateur and he went on to become cruiserweight world champion. As they say amateurs and pros are a whole different game. Do you know any other fighters who haven't had the best if starts into boxing?

Carlos Molina was 6-1 as an amateur. Not bad, but not extensive either.
Pinklon Thomas only had 3 amateur fights.
