Pacquao vs. Crawford... (DAMNT ALL TO HELL... I messed up on the thread title... I will report to a moderator to change it ASAP. APOLOGES!!!)

How do you feel about this match- up?

Pacquiao says he's moving to 140, and surely Crawford will be moving up soon. Crawford already fought once at 140 when he broke into "the scene" with a brilliant, shutout performance over Breidis Prescott.

Regarding the size between the two - Crawford is clearly the bigger boxer. He is every bit of the 5'8'' he's listed at, and looks to walk around at about 160sh - probably rehydrates to 150ish.

Of course I can't fnd the exact sze difference between the two, but it's pretty clear Crawford is larger than Pacquiao.

So - that sets aside any complaint about Pac "picking on rising lightweights."

I think that Crawford should first have to beat somebody respectable at 140 pounds, of course... Most likely Crawford moves up after the Beltran fight, and fights somebody respectable at 140 around April - thus leaving a a fight between Crawford and Pac around a year from today (11/21/14)!!!

So it's clear that I personally really like this fight, as I think the style-mesh would be great, and bring out the best of both.

I got Pac in a very close UD.

well like you say, only if Crawford beats a legit guy or two at 140 first, preferably a champion, then it would make sense. Without that though Pac would get highly critiqued, even if dude is bigger than Pacquiao naturally. Plus it would be nice for Crawford to build his name some more.

Thank you for the responses thus far! I agree with Natas that for the fight to make the most sense, Crawford preferably beats a champion at 140, or at least 1-2 top 10 contenders.

Also, as a fan of Crawford, I agree wth you guys that 2015 could be too soon, and I defntely don't want to rush Terence - I really like this guy, and his style, and want to see him have the best career possible.

But then again, 2015 could be perfect.. Pac is getting up there, and Crawford would be at a very dangerous point - undefeated, young, and hungry.

And sorry for the title mishap. Wish we could change it ourselves...

But I did report it to moderator/admin. - so hopefully it gets fixed so more people will be drawn to this thread.

To be honest, I would rather Pac fight Crawford in his first fight at 140 than this Algeri fight. But it would make sense to have Crawford maybe take Vargas's fake belt if he still has it for his first fight at the weight.

To be honest, I think Crawford could take anyone at 140 right now

I don't see many American boxers that stands out to me as a PPV attraction other than maybe Broner but he blew his chance and he needs to rebuild the hype I guess.

Depending on how low Manny can get for Walters, both of those fights would be better than Algeri IMO
