Saul Alvarez amateur career record?

-
At 14, he was sparring against the likes of world champion Oscar Larios. At 15, after an amateur boxing record of 44-2, he got a professional license and fought 10 times at age 16. Along the way, he was discovered by matchmaker Eric Gomez of Golden Boy Promotions, who eventually put him in the ring in Cabazon at Morongo Casino. That was Oct. 24, 2008. He was 18, had a record of 21-0-1 and was still an unknown.

Boxrec says he had 20 amateur bouts, but I'm sure you've already read this.

I don't mind the just the record but when one source said 46 fights and the other said 20 I thought I'd check at NSB
When two different accounts come up with wildly different numbers something don't add up (excuse the pun)

it's pretty obvious that there's no set in stone record of alvarez amateur background.
we do know that he turned pro @ 15, and that he's had over 40 pro fights. he claims to have an additional 10 professional fights in mexico as well.
and yes, you came off as a **** when you asked for information and got snappy with a guy who provided some for you.

well that's fantastic
came to NSB to find out some info.... but basically got nuthing
but just found we got a bunch of sensitive man babies who get all excited about a minor infraction - more so than person I said it to (and apologised to) who seemed to take it in his stride
thanks NSB
weebler - apologies again... wasn't trying to be snappy but was a bit frustrated that you gave me the first google item could find when obviously I'd do that before jumping onto this forum and starting a thread about it
the rest of you - go change your tampons
