and Skip Bayless said something like "You fought in the junior olympics...."
I mean, I heard 50 say some years ago that he fought in the golden gloves once. And now suddenly he fought in the junior olympics??
Come on man, what's next. They gonna tell us 50 had a pro career under a different name and became a 2 time IBF world champion?

If it's true it's true. I got no problem with 50's boxing credentials. I never boxed myself, but I admit it. But if somebody would go around telling fairy tales to make himself look more credible than others, then it is kinda....dumb.

but he was like 10-12 years old when it happened and never achieved anything in boxing, a t the same time he achieved a whole lot in other ventures. i assume thats why he doesnt talk about it much.

whats boxing in the golden gloves as a kid compared to a highly successful multi million dollar career in music, movies and business?

I think you have a different idea of that the JO's are. It's not like the actual Olympics ( international level). Every state has a junior Olympics. He probably fought in the ny state junior Olympic tournament. It's like the golden gloves.

Im not a hater but I also dont believe everything someone says. 50 is always saying he did something in his past that no one can verify. When he use to come on 24/7 at the begining and just watching vidz of him early in the gym, it didnt look like he ever boxed before. He didnt know how to do anything properly

Im pretty sure there was a misunderstanding here. 50 meant to say he used to compete in the Special Olympics, not Juinor.

I remember reading that someone looked up the NY Golden Gloves records and couldn't find any proof that 50 competed. I'm skeptical of it myself, but it seems like a strange thing to lie about.
