  • Jones jr and his Father fell out because of.....

a Rottweiler dog that jones jr owned and the dad shot him to death 5 times after the dog savagely bit jones jr's sister.

I saw the countdown on hbo and roy jones jr came by after he found out his dog was dead with a gun to kill his father but he didnt do it.

It seems jones jr has suicidal tendecies and I thought he claims he is a good christian. I heard him talk of killing himself before he ever looses a decision if he lost a fight by a decision he would off himself the only way he would lose is by ko he said it on the best damn sports show. In the countdown special they also said roy jones jr used to be so scared of his dad he would carry a switchblade to either kill himself or his father.

I hope roy does not do anything ****** if he loses.

i wouldnt read to much in to what a guy from sports illsutrated says who obviously only follows boxing when something bad happens in it.

anyway the dog story is true. roys dad beat him so he should be killed.

there is no excuse for that kind of ****, and there was no reason to kill the dog either specially after the incident was already over. i can blieve he carried a switch blade to kill his father to defend him self, but i dont know if he did it to maybe kill himself.

if he did i mean he was very young then and wasnt at his brightest of course as no one is at a young age.

i hope his dad can help him out with this fight, but he shouldnt keep roy sr. around at all. he has treated his son awful and should be killed for beating him and for shooting the dog.

Jones, Toney, Eubank, Watson, Tyson, De La Hoya etc confide in the author about their fears in the ring and the risks etc, with some strange stuff coming from Jones about his father/suicide and how what happened to his friend McClellan changed him.

From what roy said and his close associates his dad would beat him hard and insult him even when his soon did good when he was young. The pops would praise other kids infront of his son, I believe that is sadistic and cruel to do that to your own son that is your flesh and blood. The suicidal thoughts are true and when he was best damn sports show he even said he would take his own life if he lost by UD, I feel he can still hear his father insulting him saying he wasnt good enough in his head.

The dad also after the dog was dead shot him again 2 more times with another gun, and smiled and told roy I killed your dog and hanged the dog infront of his car. I really sympathize with roy because he is such a great person he helps people and he has a very good caring nature even though his dad is such a evil cruel human.

Sounds interesting. So you think jones is really suicidal like they say? I think he might be that is why I worry and I want to know why he brang his father back to help him?

This is quite interesting - http://www.esquire.com/features/lear...mwi_jones.html

"Tell you one thing, though: I'm one of the smartest mother****ers in the world. You've been talking to a ****in' genius" - Roy Jones Jr

Totally agree with that, he's a very smart man and good businessman.

yep his dad is seriously ****ed up for sure. what kind of person does that to a kid much less their own kid.

i cant believe roy let him back in to his life. i would kill anyone if they tried to hurt my dog much less killed it.

roy has to big of a heart, its his dad and he knows its right to try to get along with your family i guess, so thats why hes trying to make up with him.

i dont know i just hope it doesnt hurt him in his life or boxing some how.

The sanest fighters in that book are Watson, Hamed and De La Hoya. Basically Eubank, Jones, Toney and Tyson are ****ed up in the head, they are messed up.
