            If you're gonna take the meaning of SLICK from an internationally accepted dictionary, then many so called Outstanding Boxers doesn't deserve to be called "SLICK" If you're gonna consider the manners:

              Slick, like everything else is a matter of opinion.

              You could say that Pernell Whitaker is a slick fighter. He made you miss shots while landing his own. However, Juan Manuel Marquez also has a slick style, with counters of his own and his effortless combinations.

              Neither fighter REALLY fights the same at all.

              Slick, simply means smooth.

              This bull**** that slick means defensive is propagaded by people who want to use "cool-sounding" words to describe fighters they like.

              It CAN be defensive, but isn't only used for defensive.
