Can't agree more, defnotely a contender for FOTY already. Both left it all in the ring and gave it their all.

I think Eubank won, but not by much. I'm glad he did and for his sake I hope he doesn't rematch. He's beaten the drugs cheat and lived up to the family name in a British boxing classic. What a fight! Benn doesn't deserve the respect of a rematch. If Eubank is crazy enough to accept he has to be the A side and dictate terms especially to do with weight. I think if Eubank had alittle more in the tank he could have taken him out in the last round.

That was a good fight for their skill level and the rehydration clause. Eubank deserves a ticket for the canelo lottery. Please no rematch. Conner needs to decided on 147 or 154.

117-111 or 116-112 is spot on. I think the AI judge had it 117-111 but cant find it yet on the net. According to compubox "Eubank landed a total of 367 punches from 912 thrown, a connect rate of 40.2 per cent. Benn, 28, landed 215 punches from 593 thrown, connecting at 36.3 per cent." Thats more than 150 punches more landed the fight was thrilling since eubank went for the stoppage instead of outboxing benn but at the end it was a clear win

Good fight to watch and the right guy won. Eubank really poured it on in the last couple of rounds to seal the victory. Having said that both of them were swinging wildly trying to KO each other with every single punch. I did not see too many jabs or any kind of finesse. It was just a brutal, brutal war of attrition.

I was out at a restaurant 2 hours before the fight - in birmingham, england. 3 older (retired?) couples to my let happily discussing the fight and who would win - with the waiter!
This fight crossed over to the mainstream - not sure whether this is an indictment on the lack of alternative entertainment options in the UK or a case of very clever promoting - probably both.

They both emptied the tank and gave everything. I had Eubank Jr ahead by a couple of rounds through most of the fight and he definitely closed the show strong through sheer willpower, throwing bundles of punches even though he was completely spent, and just a stubborn determination not to lose to a Benn. I think the scorecards - for once - were pretty much spot on despite the biased commentary. I had Eubank Jr winning fairly clearly despite the fact that Benn made every round competitive. I think, given that he had a rehydration clause holding him back, that was a hell of an effort by Eubank Jr. Credit to Conor too for his fitness, energy, and toughness. He clearly has a decent chin as Eubank Jr has scored a ton of knockdowns over the years with his potshotting and didn't drop Benn once. It was a far more entertaining and enthralling fight than it had any right to be, but the right man definitely won on the night.

Freaking great fight!!!! Either of these dudes could have been made out of candy and riding daddy's coattails. Both showed grit! Eubank was more active in the middle and that won him the fight. Props to both of them!!!! Eubank's dad made a deal with the devil that if his son won, he would tape the tip of his nose down
