  • Comments Thread For: Isaac 'Pitbull' Cruz readies for war against Valenzuela

Isaac Cruz is preparing for war against Jose Valenzuela - a war he expects to win. Cruz (26-2-1, 18 KOs), 26, the newly crowned WBA super lightweight titleholder, will make his first defense against rising southpaw Jose "Rayo" Valenzuela on Aug. 3, in chief support of the Terence Crawford-Israil Madrimov 154-pound title bout at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

They have to put Cruz on the card because Crawford can't draw flies to sh**. Cruz should be having his own main events instead of PBC putting him on to support PBC lackeys....

Crawford has KO everyone at 147 including undefeated Spece, can't really say is him. There is a reason Pitbull is Co-main and Crawford is Main event. This is how PPVs should be. Easily Crawford sells out Omaha. PBC has no network to put on fights, that's why they are there.

I think 'Rayo' gets beaten within an inch of his life. Pitbull is 4 real.

Crawford is so exceptional that even though he started out at 130 & is now competing at 154, without PEDs, no-one is giving his opponent one shot.

Valenzuela is the real fully-pledged PBC guy, not Cruz. You could tell by seeing Sam Watson circle around their guy in every fight. He could be Tank's next opponent if he beats Pitbull.

And since he gonna get mash-up thats not happening. IMO Pitbull in 8.

Yet Turki has been more than happy to work with Crawford and pay him millions of dollars while showing absolutely no interest over the past year in working with Canelo - the so-called cash cow and face of boxing - that is until Crawford said he wanted to fight him. Even now, Turki says he’ll only offer Canelo a fair price for a Crawford fight and if Canelo gets crazy about his demands, he can jog off. That should tell right there that in the real boxing world - away from all Canelo’s nationalistic fanboys and the groveling boxing media - Crawford is seen as better value for money than Canelo with his bloated guarantees, cherry-picked opponents, increasingly monotonous performances and tiresome diva attitude.
