I know it’s not entirely his fault with Crowley pulling out most recently but Boots has a long way to go before he can be calling out Crawford.
More and more of these young punks think that after a few impressive fights against opponents lesser than them, that they are worthy of big time PPVs vs the established stars.

    • I don't care at what weight if the two ever decide to meet. Terence Crawford still defeats him. Since the Golovkin trilogy; Alvarez has lost most if not all of his confidence. As opposed to Terence Crawford.

Outside of the ring; Canelo refuses to take any risks or challenge himself anymore against the elite challengers of the sport both in and out of his weight division who are not cherry picked opponents.

The only reason why he won't fight Bud is because of the same reason why he is ducking and won't fight David Benavidez. They are both good and he knows he cannot defeat them. Also, he is afraid of losing.

      • Bud wants a bite at the big pie and the retire. He knows he ain't beating no Canelo and 1 L won't hurt the ago of a retirement safe man.

Maybe, the p4p best would be a good start.

Then, when Bud records knockout #9 at 147, they can say Bud cherry-picked a green unproven email champ

Who would be a “step up” fight at 147 for Boots?

Vergil Ortiz, whose younger, did. And to fight the previous #1 guy in Tszyu.

What's Boots' excuse? Not enough Karens?

If Bud is as good as YOU claim, why didn’t he skip 140 and go straight to 147?
Mosley did it and fought the #1 guy in Oscar.

            • 168 is a big jump, canelo has a good chin too. crawford will have no power up there and in putting on extra weight is will lose speed. he will loose pretty badly to canelo

Considering his level of competition, any of about 20 guys who have been ranked top 10 in the last couple years. He's got 2 wins now, counting Avanesyan, over guys in the top 10? He could still fight any of Stanionis, Barrios, Norman, Thurman, Ugas, Spence, Santillan, Giyasov, Crowley, Rocha, Sasaki, or even the likes of Benn, Cissokho, Crocker. His resume so far has a win percentage at around 60 IIRC.

Exactly, they all want to talk their way into opportunities rather than fighting their way in.
