  • WHERE IS Joe Goossen?!??

Everybody is coming down hard on De La Hoya and Hopkins for totally abandoning Garcia and rightfully so, but the biggest criticism should be reserved for Joe Goossen.

A lot of fighters and their coaches get humiliated after talking big in the build up but they all show up at the post fight press conference and will also answer all questions days after the fight from every reporter.
Coach Bullet showed up after Rolly got knocked out and Glenn Rushton showed up after Crawford humiliated Jeff Horn.

We've have heard from everyone by now. Both De La Hoya and Hopkins gave total nonsense reactions but at least there was a reaction.
I have NEVER seen a coach do a total disappearing act like this. Absolutely unbelievable and disgraceful.

I don't know, should we be worried? Maybe someone should check the bathrooms at the T-Mobile Arena. He could still be there.

I want to know the same thing. It's not like he's a promoter and has millions and can just walk away from his top money guy

I was actually disappointed in goosen. They literally just relied on Ryan's left hook like idiots. You'd think a veteran trainer would show him how to set it up or throw a straight right

I like Goosen but he was hyping Garcia too much. He was saying he had an incredible speed and his power was freakish.

Garcia himself was saying that he was special and everyone was telling him.

Now everyone knows he is not that special and he stills has a lot to learn.

Probably wasn't in the correct state of mind to wanting to be answering questions from the presser. Same goes with DLH. Can you imagine the questions they would've asked him, and he had to answer them?

They probably couldn't be bothered nor to even care, because of such disappointment I believe.

You do have a point though, Goossen was his trainer and major part of his team lead up to the fight - he should've been there regardless of the situation, win or lose. Be there with his fighter.

"You dont train Ryan Garcia, you collaborate with him." - Joe Goosen

              Shouldve collaborated some footwork...

Trainer has no obligations once the fight is over. Seeing your fighter take a loss is a personal thing.

Who are you to demand he come and answer questions? You're a loser and weirdo.

Word is Ryan wouldn't show up to the gym he would miss a lot so goosen was already pissed. When Joe would call him Ryan would day he's training at home with his dad. Is all you have to know.

Ryan had one foot out the door already he's done with boxing.

Garcia made an interesting comment that no one is mentioning. He said, “I should of kept it boring”. That was my thought too meaning to just jab and be defensive minded and just out point him the whole night. Never look for the knock out. I believe that was Goosens plan cause that made the most sense due to Garcias height, reach and quick left hand.
