Yes i know scum play in red. So do the mickey mousers and i ****in hate them. But on the other hand Forest play in red ( although slightly different shade called Garribaldi Red)

a world champion boxer would kill a world champion mixed martial artist( not ko but kill) with those 4oz gloves. boxing is a science that has been getting perfected for over 150 years, mixed martial arts is still trying to figure out what techniques are more effective. your buddy probably thinks that submissions would make the difference. if submissions were the dominant technique no one would practice striking. a pro boxers timing is so precise a grappler would get his face split comming in for a takedown. theres a reason the difference in %age of losses in the best mixed martial artists is so much greater than the best boxers, the level of skill and precision of technique is just much greater in boxing. if martial artist could fight for million dollar purses, they would, instead of fighting for a few thousand dollars. boxing at the elite level requires complete dedication, you cant compete for a title and also work at the hardware store if you want to succeed. maybe in fifty years they will be comparable, but right now its like and1 versus the spurs.

well it depend on the boxer and the fighter he is fighing but usually MMA have an advantage of many tools. so he could use any of the tool to defeat a boxer for example a kick on the leg for a boxer is very hard to deal because he most adapeted to upper attack.

i not trying to defend any sport but i taking it to something logic.

For me boxing is more intersting and it more of a sport that the MMA stuff like Pride UFC and other similar things. but you cant really say to have a complete fighter is someone who is good at nearly all martial art including boxing as well as have good stragty in beating oponents

That may or may not be, and could be a whole other debate... but the point I am making (that I notice many others have made) is that you can't compare elite athletes from 2 different sports.

Plus, boxers (Mercer. Botha etc) havent done great at K1 so it just goes to illustrate my point.

I personally like both sports and that's allowed.
