  • Do boxers choose the color gloves they want?

Do boxers get the choice every fight to choose the color gloves they want to fight with?

I know red is basically a standard. We've seen black on various occassions. Now we see white, pink, gray, blue, yellow and green. Is this a choice by the boxers?

I think they can choose whatever colour they want. Over here the boxers usually don't wear the same colour shorts for the benefit of tv viewers, i don't know about the states though.

      Heavies defo did.
      Remember Wlad vs Peter?
Wlad had matching red trunks and red gloves, and Peter chose matching baby blue.

When it comes to big name fightes like PBF, DLH, Klitschko, Wright or even Holyfield generally they stipulate the brand of gloves in the contract and choose what color they want. Also, in championship fights alot times fighters are allowed to choose the color and brand.

However, I would say 99% of the time the promoters are the ones who choose the brand and color of the gloves for the fighters. Most boxing matches are not championship level matches and are not big money fights so the fighters just fight with the gloves which are provided.

Floyd's outfit wasn't that bad. That Roman warrior or whatever thing was wack though.

He's "trying to tell us" that he solidarizes with breast cancer victims.

No its to promote breast cancer awarness...look on the Everlast boxing website.
People usually wear a pink ribbon or etc. when they have donated to a breast cancer foundation!
